I jad a chance to ride my drift a fews days now to make my mind on this new addition to my quiver…
Even if they say weight on your feets is worst than in your back…… not true at all, having to carry a snowboard on a backpack is much more exhausting than using a splitboard. It’s only fun to be able to ride any board you want in the backcountry….. but do not sell your splitboard, it is not a replacement.
They are better than snowshoes witch i usualy use on short trips to avoid dealing with splitboard skins many times in a day (less than 1h uphill).
I also think they are little overpriced, for what it is, not any special technology and if you think about amount of material required to build them (less than half a splitboard), the price is quite substential.
Customer service is quite deceiving, probably the most un-friendly snowboard company i had to deal with in thirty years.
Probably because i’m from canada and they are from a red state.. they probably don’t like us for no reason.
Anyway, i will keep and use them but for the price and the enormous custom fees i had to pay (total price is 600$)… knowing this before i would had try the Union Rover from a local shop, the incorporate way more technology for a lower price.
Thats my two cents , enjoy the ride !
